Arjuna
In midday, a man from the park rushed into my house. On his hand laid Arjuna one of my 3 blind cats. He found Arjuna in the middle of the park with no trees for shade.
Arjuna looked very sick and in pain. He trembled and try to breathe so hard with the mouth open. From this signed I knew that Arjuna got heat stroke. When I touched him I felt my arm was hotter than usual.
I took over Arjuna, laid him on thecar’s bonnet and gave him mouth to mouth resuscitation with the man from the park watched. Arjuna collapsed then I rushed him inside the house and laid him on the table. I covered Arjuna with wet towel, turned on the fan aimed to his body and did CPR. For almost an hour Arjuna got CPR but it did not worked. Arjuna died on my lap without ever awaken. Arjuna was buried in the park just near the dining room's window so I can see everytime I want.
I blame myself ever since the incident. I remembered that day after morning feeding time I unleashed Arjuna but he still wore his collar and harness. I thought he wouldn’t go anywhere. I knew that Arjuna desperately want to go to the park as he always sitting around the cat house's door. But he slided away to the park unseen and queitly.
Why didn't he look for a shaded place? Because he was blind. He took all of the sunlight onto his body with temperature reached 40℃ that day.
Arjuna, now you could play in the park as free as you want to be and this is something that you really wanted to when you were alive. You may go but your memories still in my heart.
Good bye Arjuna, my beautiful blind cat.
